22 month old outgrowing everything - heelp!

Hi there, I haven't been on this forum in a long time - me and my nappies have been ticking along quite nicely! But now my 22-month old son - who is over the 100 centile for height and looks set to take after his 6 foot 4 uncle - has outgrown all his nappies. Green Kids, BG, Issy Bear, Rumparooz, Ittis - they all give him a terrible builder's bum. Can anyone recommend a good nappy for a tall toddler - he weighs 2 stone (14 kg) but is actually relatively slim for his height. It's annoying as he'll potty train this year (hopefully!) and I don't want to splash out for a whole set of nappies that might not get much use. Is it worth trying training pants like Super Undies perhaps? They'd need to be pretty reliable! He tells me after he's done a poo but as yet I get no prior warning on the wee/poo front! (Sorry if TMI but this IS a nappy forum). Any help gratefully received!

Hi, I have a similar problem, my DD is 19 months and has been in large nappies since she was 6 months old - she was on 91st centile for height but it's all in her body rather than her legs, so she outgrows the rise in nappies very fast. We use Fluff n Stuff and Dunk n Fluff nappies in large, Holdens Landing Toddler size, and Hollow Oak Toddler size (these are the biggest of all the nappies we have tried).

I think the nappies you have listed are all pockets, the only pockets we get on with are large Blueberries (but I don't know if you can get these anymore).

Another option might be to try prefolds with wraps, I haven't used them myself since DD was very small, but lots of people do use them successfully.

Weenotions large high rise would prob fit ok. My 22month old is on the small side and most of his nappies are still on the middle rise settings on BTP :giggle:

Bumgenius flips have a huge rise as they would easily still fit my 4.5year old who is 106cm tall.

Large or Toddler Fuzzi Bunz are generous as are HH one size pockets

Honestly! I will get a pic of him but this one is BTP and was taken about 2-3 months ago and its on the middle still. Its an easyfit. He's about 25-26lb and 87cm tall.

aww cute! I think DD is about 92cm tall and I think that extra 5cm is all in her torso - I guess that would make the difference! Is that the talking Upsy Daisy doll in the background? use that for scale, we have the same doll :giggle: - I'll try and do a pic of DD in her Happy Heiny (we never use it but it's an old spare) for comparison!

I've tried Flips and didn't love them - also my husband and childminder are less than enthusiastic about 2 part systems and I don't want them sneaking my son into disposables! Will have a look at the Fuzzi Bunz, thanks.

Large fuzzi bunz or large happy heinys have quite a high rise. I find the bumgenius v4 are a bit bigger than the v3 too
