£50 from my local council (Swansea) on with proof of receipt, which can also include accessories. Took about 4 weeks for the cheque to come through. Hopefully they'll still be doing it when I'm pg again. Quite impressed actually.
We got a free trial kit full of different types of nappies to use for a month and 20% off at the Totnes Nappy Company. I think they have stopped the discount now. The area I live in is very Eco friendly. Well hippy Totnes is renowned for Eco stuff so the council are pretty helpful.
Here in Brighton & Hove our council has only ever offered (well since i was preggy with osc 5 years ago until dd born early 2010)...the opportunity to buy a ME onesize cotton for £5 or 5 used bambino mio prefolds also i think for £5 . Because both of those products will convince people of the benefits of cloth Looking on their website, i can't even see that offer any more. Neighbouring councils in East & West sussex both have cashback schemes i believe.
Tara84 wrote: So pro cloth but they don't offer any incentives at all, I've never seen anyone else round here use cloth and HCP always get really excited when they see DD in cloth as they say they never see babies in proper nappies anymore
Same here! Diddley sqwat! Which is nice really when we're not clogging up the landfils
