Washing at 40 lots of opinions plz!

I always wash at 60c for cotton and bamboo fabrics like nappies, bedsheets and towels. 40c for clothes.

Yep, I tend to wash at 60 too. We have very hard water and they don't look/smell clean enough to me if I do a 40 wash. I don't think it's done my nappies any harm (but then my stash is mostly made up of hardy prefolds )

I think it's a case of trial and error and finding what works for you.

60 here too as we also live in a hard water area and 40 just doesn't get them clean enough. It has never damaged my nappies in any way and they have always been in good condition when I have come to sell them on as anyone who has bought from me will agree.

lol, I'll go against the grain. I always washed at 60 and didn't have any problem with my nappies. If I washed at 40c though, I'd find my boys got nappy rashes and personally I didn't feel that they were clean enough as 40c isn't enough to kill bacteria in poo filled nappies.

WSS i always was at 60c and we have super hard water so 40 just isnt enough IMO

Same as Kirsty & Beth. I've never had any problems with PUL. Nappies just don't seem clean at 40.
