Stripping help please

Hi all,

I am new to the cloth world although I have quite a stash that I have collected now I have no idea about stripping!

Do I need to do this to new nappies or is it just once they have a build up?

Dippy - I know but untill recently I had just read a few bits on cloth, washed them lots before using (bought new) and have not yet suffered a leak. Is this just luck?

I have just bought some preloved cloths and then read about stripping - now I am in a panic! :-?

BTW- I have popolini's and totbots, prefolds used with Mio outers.

Feel like a novice - so any help would be great
TY

If they are new nappies then no you shouldn't need to strip them, do make sure you do extra rinses after each wash though x

 As Kirsty has said, you don't need to strip new nappies, just wash as normal, with a little washing powder and an extra rinse. Sounds like you are doing fine since you aren't getting any leaks :) If your preloved nappies leak or smell strongly when they have been worn, then there might be a build up of washing powder, so a strip wash would solve that :)
