Washing bamboo.

Postby vickyblanken » Thu Sep 15, 2011 4:40 pm

I've used cotton LLs for 2 years and loved them.
We live in a very hard water area, but I've always found 10 minutes in the dryer fluffs them up nicely.
I recently invested in some bamboo nappies and although they've started off lovely and soft, they feel to be going harder and crunchier with each wash.
Has anyone any suggestions?
I use soapnuts or a very small dose of non bio so I'm pretty sure it's not detergent build up, I service my washer regularly and I've even tried adding vinegar to the wash but they're still getting crunchy.
Hope someone can help.

Hard water areas need more powder not less, also bio is better then non bio, so you should up your powder dosage, I on the odd occasion added a teeny drop of fabric softener to my wash even though you aren't meant to then finish in the dryer
