and diddiy diapers. How soft do they stay? Just wondering as I want to get some but I have hard water and no tumble dryer, i'd really hate for them to get stiff like terry can Would using bold help maybe too? Thanks.

Our LL did go quite crunchy on occasions, but a good wriggle about of the fibres helped.
If they were hung out to dry too long in the sun, that's when they hardened the most. My friends bamboo LL when line dried were not as bad as my cotton ones.
A glug of White vinegar in the softener drawer helps a bit.

Sorry don't know about bold, never used it

I used bold on mine. They never got crunchy as such but they lost their softness. I'm talking about LL bamboo btw

I use bold too and mine never got too bad plus if you use the fleece liner it covers a good portion of the nappy and as someone above said if they go stiff just give them a good wiggle about

Mine have gone a little stiff, but a good wriggle helps loads from time to time. If you can ever get them to a friends house with a tumble dryer I've found that the odd five minutes works wonders on stiffness. Either that or give them to the baby to play with, they get thrown about so much that any stiffness will be gone in no time.
