Recommendations plz: good, portable cream

Postby moominmamma » Sat Oct 01, 2011 5:49 pm

At home I use coconut oil every change and pawpaw cream on any sore bits as necessary. However we're getting out and about more and coconut isn't easy to take with (it melts a bit much and I can't work out what to keep it in)
SO, can anyone recommend a cream or ointment that's:

cloth nappy safe (am I right in think things with beeswax would be difficult to wash out? My sister makes her own creams etc and tells me it melts at 62 to 64 °C, so it wouldn't wash out in my 60°C wash)

'natural' ingredients (no parabens, fragrance, petrochemicals etc)

portable (small non leaky container)

good for frequent use
?

grateful for any suggestions or avenues to explore!
TIA

I'm going to go out on a limb here. I don't use nappy cream DS has never had nappy rash really in 2 years and DD is fine so far 4 months and countin  g. If occasionally they look a little red (teething  ) I just pop alittle on then however I always do about 30 mobs of nappy free time a day plus about 5 mins every change. I also use lavender oil mixed with water to wipe ao maybe that soothes. However it may be you don't need to both when you are out and about. Just a thought.
