How stupid/mean/unfair/is this?

i have asked EVERYONE i know to buy my son a nappy for xmas/bday (like a wee notion or something lovely) (bday in dec) everyone bar one of my friends has said no "its not a proper present" :( but now my whole family are asking what he wants + cos he is 8 months old + has loads of toys already + is getting loads form us im like "errrrrr dunno" "nappies!" if people dont know what to buy him BUY HIM A NAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one we cant afford!!!!! :x

Perhaps if you explain how special and lovely it would be - especially if they get him something like a personalised embroidered nappy that you could keep...

i told them about u know like the toy story ones etc etc! but my problem now is i haven talked about nappies so much :oops: that everyone seems to tune out to me now :giggle:
i would buy him one myself for a pressie but hubby wont let me - he says joe is getting "jipped" on xmas + jipped on bday by getting a nappy :(

All mine have customised nappies for Christmas! It's something that will be used, they're lovely and it's only like a "normal" person asking for clothes IMO!!! They just don't get it though honey! xx

Totally agree. The only person to ever do it yet is my mum and I think that was more for me than anything else.
Instead I end up with far too many toys which dont get played with.

I nearly fell off my chair then because my DF wont let me buy nappies as presents, but i read your post to him and he said all your friends and family are miserable gits. He says theres no point having loads of things he doesnt need when youve already told them something he does need. I agree with that but i never thought hed say that! xxx
