Washing newborn nappies

Postby Star02 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:30 pm

How many times are you supossed to wash NB nappies? I've got loads of ittis, bambootys and easyfits that I've washed once, am I right in thinking they don't need a huge amount of washing? I'm sure he won't flood them and they'll be changed enough in the first few days that they'll get washed loads anyway. Am I right??? :D

I wouldn't bother really either. Baby won't be filling them in the first couple of weeks & they will be washed plenty of times before he/she needs the absorbency. You have plenty other things to be doing than washing nappies 3 or 4 times.

My new ones got washed a few times but that's only because I was washing my pre-loved one's and I wanted to wash them several times! Otherwise I would probably just have washed them once for reasons already mentioned.
