Do you strip CSP? Same as nappies?

I have just had my first period after loosing my DD2 and have used my CSP. They smell a bit funny. Have I not washed them right (just put in normal wash with towels)? Do I need to strip them? They are all PUL backed.

Not heard of stripping CSP before but wouldn't do any harm i suppose. Not had any problems with mine like you say so not sure.
