Upcycling- Grand Total of 7 Items!

I've wanted to make these for ages, but daren't cut up this old 100% lambs wool jumper (even though it is waaaaaaaay too small and useless)

But plucked up the courage this morning and made Eleanor some slipper socks.

Drafted a template all by myself and I'm pleased with the results.
Might have a go at making some mittens with what's left over!

here are the different projects I've made from just 2 small jumpers!!

- new hot water bottle cover for me
- slipper socks for Eleanor
- 2x rice heat packs for James & Eleanor
- lined mittens as a Christmas present for my mum
- 2 hats, one each for J&E

I have a couple of old jumpers stacked up by the sewing machine ready to make soakers with, but these look so much more cosy!
Maybe I'll change the plan, and baby can make do with what wraps I have

I loved my 'bum sweaters' I had with Louis, they were bomb proof! If you have a couple you can do both!

Made these fleece lined mittens this evening. They are a Christmas present for my mum.

Great idea! We have 2 whole cows (well you know what I mean - dead ones - 1 brown and one black )so I should do this for mine as well!

@clothmama - I managed to find a cheap bag of leather off cuts at my local fabric/craft shop. The small pieces have been perfect for the soles of slippers for little feet!

Perfect! I have been looking at lots of projects with a little bit of leather used and think everyone should have some in their stash!

As long as you can get on with it No seriously, I think they are so worth having, I just wish I'd bought perhaps a newer / better one as I almost got turned off for ever!
