Two of my recent cuts for school fundraising, both Paper Panda templates

For the Spooky Party raffle

Hubby thinks I should start a small WAHM business. I'm not sure these would sell for the £25+ (depending on intricacy) they'd need to to make it viable.

Love them :)

I think selling would depend on your market...would you do craft fairs? Fetes?

You inspired me to have a go at paper cutting... Im finding it quite relaxing.

@sim we have an artist who makes us similar for the gallery, he is a graphic designer by trade so they are sort of a hobbie for him. We sell them between €20 and €45, we take 10% commission from that. His are all his own designs so he doesn't have any copyright issues. The best sellers at the moment are alway framed in white, I think we have sold about 4 of his seahorses this summer. I can send you some photos of them if you want just to give you an idea of pricing.

@emmavmorgan
That would be helpful!
I'd expect to price ones like those above for about £20 unless I started using expensive frames.
Something more intricate or larger would take longer so cost a bit more.

I have done a bit of designing too and plan to improve my computer based design - and hand drawing skills once I've stopped work. I don't 'need' the income as such so can start small and see how it goes. I guess the market would be online (maybe the evil FB) plus the occasional market or maybe a local shop.

A couple of my own design pieces

This one was one of my first cuts so the cutting is a pretty dodgy!

And a recent family tree design I haven't cut yet

All feedback is welcome - I'm still working on identifying my own 'style' too.

I think they're great, and i think people go for the personalised ones quite a lot. Or the home/ family ones.

Love them. I would happily pay over £20 for one.
