Unsuccessful potty training 3 yr old boy! Help!

My little boy gets a sticker every time I potty him IF he has dry pants. He generally either has a story or the tv on for a few minutes while he's on the pot unless we're out in the garden etc. I don't wait for him to tell me he needs to go but keep putting him on and also watching out for cues like holding his crotch . We're using various training pants and also normal pants with cloth sanitary towels in. He's often dry all day but wears a nappy at night, its always dry in the morning but I daren't leave him bare yet!

I hate pull-ups when trying to potty train, they feel just like a nappy so they don't understand the whole concept. I used to ask my guys every half hour or so (nearly sent myself batty) but it worked and they soon realised their own body ques of then needed to go.

With my ds I used 1 cbeebies programme as a reward, worked really well x
