couple of questions. Need help

Postby Hughesette » Sun Apr 12, 2009 8:20 pm

ok, first my youngest dd now 16 wks has a large bum and legs lol but she is also long so had a nightmare finding the right nappy 4 bed. We tried beehinds but the fit was not great 4 her so it gaped. At the moment we use an ellas house bum hugger old one from my 1st dd and is ok but not great fit. I just don't have a clue what to use. 2nd, middle dd is nearly 2 and large too 13kg. She has outgrown most of my things. I only have 2 old kiwis that i use now. Any ideas 4 heavy wetting big girl? I am deprect now as have nothing really and i don't want wet sheets any more! Thanks

For your older girl have you tried a standard Minki pocket nappy? They are big fitting and fantastic for nights.
As for your younger daughter a medium weenotions night notion would be good, my very tiny Sophie wore one from about 12 weeks! Upsy daisy night nappies are good too...

Sounds like a side snapping fitted would be a good idea for your littlest. I'd try an Upsy Daisy night nappy or a bedbug or dreamscape. You might get quite a good fit with a M Night Notion too as the rise is nice and high. My 3 year old wears a Minki at night and they're fab. They're huge and hold lots of stuffing, we've never had any probs with them.

Although I love all the other nappies mentioned too, I wouldn't reccomend bedbugs/dreamscapes for heavy wetters!

another vote for Minky Pocket for eldest. I used them (as well as XL Fuzzi's) on my eldest before she was dry at night.

I'd suggest Weenotions NightNotion or Upsy Daisy Night nappy for your youngest.

See as I haven't tried most of the nappies mentioned, I would try weird combos, we are quick flip users as our night time first preference (with 3 easy peasy hemps and a bamboo square). For the little one I would try something as simple as 2 daytime nappies perhaps with an easy peasy hemp in between, so something like a tots / little lamb or swaddlebees, easy peasy hemp and then something like a MEOS. Or 2 quick flips folded inside each other also work well.

It might sound stupid but what are you putting over your night nappies - most of us are complete wooly nutters as they work better than PUL overnight!

thanks good idea about 2 day time nappies. Might try that. We use wool at night too. Most of the time they are fine but some nights with my middle dd they leak!
