worry about big night nappies!

Postby fluffycabbage » Thu Sep 10, 2009 10:55 pm

ok, 2nd night in a bbh tonight, with both snap-in boosters in, ep hemp doubled over underneath, and a fleece liner on top. then me airflow over the lot.
so anyway - its huuuuuuuge! i mean, at the back, when shes laying down, her pelvis is lifted off the changing mat and as a result i can put my hand under her back - now if shes supposed to sleep like that, surely its uncomfortable? i mean thats the equivalent of, say, me sleeping on my back with 2 pillows under my bum! it cant be good?! :-?

I think at some point, all new cloth users get a bit concerned with the size of night nappies, especially when the LO is still very young. But they do sleep like that, and in my dd's case, very well!

Try not to worry - LOs have been wearing (and sleeping in!) cloth nappies for thousands of years!

If you use wool instead of a PUL wrap, that can also act as clothes (e.g. if you use longies on a cold night) so you won't need PJ bottoms.
