1st problem.... rash- help

Postby bubbaloo » Sun Jun 08, 2008 12:10 pm

Ok, so maybe I got too excited about my first night in cloth...

2nd night we have our 1st hurdle.

Wearing little lamb bamboo, bamboo booster, wool wrap and mf between wrap and nappy.
Fleece liner.

Got a red speckled rash above belly button..... I would say this is where the velcro is...
Bit of a rash under DS's sac...

What does anyone think?

under sack sounds like damp rubbing. make sure he is bone dry eberywhere before putting on nappy, a tiny sprinkle of cornflour on a wipe can help to make sure...
as for the timmy rash. it does sound like the velcro, can you put a second fleece liner poking out the top of the nappy folded over the front of the wrap so the velcro wont rub? it shouldn't wick (i leave fleece out at leg holes to avoid a similar soundning rash from bound edges)

Don't really know what to suggest, but an overnight layer of bumcream could help the lower areas and perhaps make sure the wool wrap isn't too tightly fastened to ease the velcro rubbing (unless you have explosive poo's in the middle of the night or first thing, the wetness wouldn't generally leak out of the top.

Ok thanks laydeez. :D

Have done extra cream and fleece around the top by the velcro strip.

I hope this works... dont want DH to be put off using cloth at night!
