At that age, my chunkster best fitted into a nippa kiwi quick flip which I boosted and topped with wool. Cos it was nippa if was awesome fit. Not heard anybody mention quick flips for ages, so they may have gone the way of the dodo.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Funny enough I had not thought of side snaps but im sure they would work better. I have ordered some wool longies and covers but ive been put off using them as its so cold and I cant do his vests up with them on.

I use vests without poppers, like this
http://www.johnlewis.com/27386/Product.aspx. Or you could probably put a loose fit poppered vest over a wool soaker. If you don't want to buy the next size up you could try vest extenders with the vests you already have?

I use those vests too, (we don't use poppered vests at all) but a t-shirt would work just as well.

My Lo has always been a chunk, at about 6 months old he had 14 inch thighs! After trying many night nappies, I found Wee notions night notions much too bulky, LLS too small and Little Gumnut All Hours perfect. We use Disana wool shorts over the top.
