When my LO was outweeing disposables at night (Pampers Babydry) I found that the only night nappy that worked for us was a Little Gumnut All Hours, however, instead of the trifold insert supplied, we used the Zorb II insert from a Dunk n Fluff. He wears a pair of Disana lanolised wool shorts on top and when he was REALLY supersoaking I used to put the All Hours trifold insert between the nappy and the wool.
You should be able to get Little Gumnuts reasonably cheaply on here second hand. I think we have four but we don't really need them all as I wash my nappies every other day.

William must be a super piddler then if he soaked through a LGN in 4 hours, they are still one of my fav nappies though.
I really like Rosie Boo's bed bums as well and they are really reasonably priced

Thank you for posting this, Laura. I came on to post a similar question then found yours
My DS is 10 months and in BG V4 limited edition prints (weirdly they fit better than regular V4!) during the day. I don't like stuffing more in them at night (I already use hemp) because they don't fit well at the legs. I have been using One life with PUL as I bought a few before having my DD but didn't use them much. I don't like his skin being wet in the morning though so would prefer something that takes the wet away from his skin. He's not a particularly heavy wetter so I wondered if I should try Little Gumnut or is there something else that may be worth a go? Any suggestions would be appreciated especially of things that are really quick and easy to put on as he's a wriggler!

@johanna try a minkee or fleece liner in the nappy, that would acta as a stay dry layer so keeping your lo's skin dry. x

@Johanna21 If you want to try a night time specific nappy, try a weenotion night nappy. It doesn't sound like your son is an above average wetter & weenotions are a very good reliable night nappy. Holden's Landing bedbugs are good too.
Do you boost your onelife nappies at all? Another thing I would do is ditch the PUL. Wool soakers are breathable and allow the moisture to evaporate. Fleece soakers would be a good second best.

Thank you for the suggestions. I do boost the onelifes but they never seem to look very comfy on so I'm tempted to try something new. I've tried fleece but not wool as it scares me a bit but after reading around I'm tempted to try it - maybe even knit something myself! I've bought nothing new for DS just used DD's hand-me-downs so I think I can justify a bit of shopping
I'll report back once I've picked something, possibly looking for advice on wool.

@Kirstyh I do use a fleece liner but it doesn't protect around the sides. I've heard of minkee but know nothing about it. What is it?
