Oriental Lilly - am I reading it wrong?

Postby Hannahboo » Sat Nov 12, 2011 7:38 pm

Just picked up to start doing the Oriental Lilly dress and read the first part for the bodice and it says that every row is knit, which would give a purl bump every other row wouldn't it?? seeing as this part is knit flat??

Am I just reading it wrong (very possible, its been a long day)???

That's right, you start purling on row 6. :)

Head's up the skirt part is of similar tediousness to the Genevieve , think I ended up keeping mine quite short as I wanted to finish it so much. :giggle:

:giggle: I thought it might be, not in as much rush to finish this though as its just for Darcy and doing the 2 year size so there is loads of growing room, so probably keep it on the short side anyway so she can wear it as a top once we get to summer :giggle:

Thats gorgeous!

I am doing Darcys in acrylic  but it is actually really pretty, will see if I can find it online, just can't afford to buy too much yarn yet until DH sees how good I am at knitting :hohoho: I dont blame him though as I do tend to go through phases of having a new interest, spending loads on it then forgetting about it and moving onto something new, so need to show him that this hobby is here to stay first

Ooh my pattern only has long sleeves but I much prefer the short sleeve option did you edit it yourself or had I got a different version :(
