We are running low on food in the house and hubby doesn't get paid until Monday, so I wonder if you can help me create some meals out of what we have in the cupboard / fridge / freezer. My brain in mostly furred up and I can't think.

I need evening meals for 2 people on Saturday and Sunday and and lunches for 4 people on Saturday and Sunday. This is what I have available:

2 x tins baked beans
1x tins chopped tomatoes
1 x tin green lentils
1 x tin tuna
1 chinese sauce jar
1 x pasta bake sauce
1 x jar hot curry paste
cheddar cheese
1 x aubergine
1 x carrot

lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber
new potatoes
1 x chicken breast
1 x small pack diced pancetta
children's portion of shepherds pie
children's portion of chicken pie

frozen vegetables
frozen soup
flour, sugar, cereals
lots of rice, some pasta
I forgot we have 3 eggs too!

So my meal plans are
Friday: evening - pasta bake and salad
Saturday:Beans on toast for lunch, thildren can have shepherds pie for tea and I'll do a veg and lentil curry for me and DH
Sunday: Soup from freezer for us all for lunch. The children can have chicken pie for tea. We can have a frittata thing with the potatoes and pancetta
Monday: Chicken and frozen veg risotto for usall for tea.

Beany bake with beans, lentils, tinned tomatoes and pancetta. If you have bread then make a breadcrumb topping with some cheese and mixed herbs or a savoury crumble topping with your flour.

Stir fried rice with the chicken and other veg.

If you have enough milk you could do a stove top rice pudding, normal rice works fine. I start it off with water then add the milk later so you don't need so milk then.

You lot are fab - thanks for the help.

I should have enough money to get bread and milk, so we'll be good if I use some of your suggestions.
