Gammon joint done in coca cola or cheaper equivalent.

Place gammon joint in slow cooker, pour on a full large bottle of cola NOT sugar free.
Switch on and leave all day.

Drain off the cola, slice and enjoy!

Whole chicken

Place whole chicken in slow cooker, breast side down. Cook for a minimum of 4 hours. Lift out carefully (it will fall apart). I use a silicon sling in my slow cooker especially for this, makes it so much easier.

Chicken is cooked in its own juices and incredibly tender, yum!

Pulled chicken breast

6 chicken breasts
Apple juice (about 1cm deep in the crock pot)
Ginger about 6cm cut into pieces.
Honey couple of tbs
Chinese 5 spice tsp or so
Garlic few cloves whole
You could put some Chilli flakes in.
Put chicken breasts and maranade into slow cooker cook for about 6 hrs or until the chicken can be shredded easily with 2 forks add some of the juice from the cooker to moisten chicken when shredded.
We have it in sandwiches/wraps, with salad or with potatoes and veg. Freezes well

@clothmama DId you see the links I posted the other day?

Here's a few of my favourites

BBQ pulled pork
Get a boneless pork joint - shoulder is a cheap cut and works well - and stick it in the slowcooker with some form of liquid - cider, apple juice, pineapple juice, cola, water, whatever - about half a mugful. Cook on low for at least 8 hours.

When it's cooked, remove the meat, hive off a mugful of the liquid in the slowcooker and set this aside. Drain the rest away.
Cut the fat off the pork and chuck it. Using 2 forks, shred the meat, then return it to the slowcooker.
Use the liquid to make a BBQ sauce.

BBQ sauce
about 2tbsps/a hunk of butter
Small onion, pureed or finely chopped
mugful of ketchup
mugful of cooking liquor or water
tsp salt (I don't use salt in mine and it's fine)
1/2 tsp pepper
spoonful jarred garlic or a couple of cloves, blitzed with the onion
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp vinegar (balsamic is nice)
2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
2 tbsp brown sugar/honey/golden syrup/whatever sugar you have lying around
1tsp paprika (pref smoked)
pinch chilli flakes (optional)

Melt the butter, saute the onion and garlic for a few minutes, chuck in everything else, simmer for 20 mins. Throw over the pork and stir to coat it and leave it in the slow cooker to all warm through for as long as you can wait.

You can serve with jacket spuds or in floury rolls or tortilla wraps, with beans, coleslaw, corn on the cob, all the above.

Fakeaway lamb doner kebab
Mix 500g Lean lamb mince with 1tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp dried italian herb mix (I just used normal mixed herbs), 1tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
Whizz together in a food processor and shape into a meat loaf shape. Pop straight in slow cooker for 3-4 hours high or 5-7 hours on low. Slice thinly and serve.

All day breakfast (I usually put this on overnight so we wake up to a nice breakfast)
6-8 potatos, peeled and sliced
1 tin of beans
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
6-8 sausages
6-8 rashers bacon
up to 1 punnet mushrooms, washed but whole

Grill/ fry off the sausages and bacon to rid of fat for 5-10 mins. Set aside. Add sliced potatoes, beans, toms, mushrooms to SC and put meat on top. Cook for 8-10 hours overnight on low Serve with eggs and crusty bread. (alternatively cook on high for 3 hours)

Some desserts are also yummy made in the slow cooker. I also use it for chutneys etc.
