closing velcro nappies around waist

Postby beaubelle » Mon Jun 21, 2010 10:38 am

Hi ladies!

Just a quick question... When you tighten an applix nappy around baby's waist, is it ok if the non-prickly part of the velcro is in contact with the skin? I'm assuming it is, because on bumgenius etc. they have the non-prickly part to attach the velcro tabs to when washing, and that would be in contact with the skin... It's not rubbing or anything, but I was just wondering if it would be uncomfy? My ds is a chubster and we are pretty much at the maximum waistline of his size 2 fitteds! Hoping his waistline won't expand too much more for a while! :giggle:

Thanks!

Yes I would say the loopy softer side of velcro is fine to be in contact with skin :)

If the skin isn't red or anything then I'm sure it's fine. On my dd, we struggle with aplix cos the soft bit seems to rub and it leaves a red mark. Hope that helps. :)
