Night time leaks!

Postby Laura171184 » Sat Sep 24, 2011 6:37 am

My son is 9 months old, im using popolini 1 size fitted nappy with outter wraps but he wakes around 6am sometime wet through! Do i simply have to add extra booster? any suggestions will be greatly received :-)

Two thoughts - yes, boost. Hemp, bamboo or zorb boosters would be my choice. But, also, he's quite old to be just using a day nappy all night. A dedicated night nappy might be a better option. :)

WSS. We use wee notions night notions or little gumnut all hours at night and they're fab. Also have you considered using wool soakers/ longies instead of a wrap? I prefer wool over fitteds as it lets some of the moisture evaporate instead if holding it all in.

wts
you can buy preloved woolies on classifieds quite cheaply - we use wool full time now and it's amazing. you could get some wool shorties/longies (we find these are a bit warmer now it's become cold).
good luck!!!

Hi Laura

Do you add a booster to the nappy already? Like pp have said, add either bamboo or hemp boosters to the nappy (hemp is slow to absorb so best under another booster). PUL wraps hold all the liquid in whereas wool is breathable so allows some moisture to evaporate & so the nappy lasts longer.
