Self assessment tax return help

Just had 3 letters saying I need to do a self assessment tax return for the years 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. Never had to do one before so not sire why now. Any idea?

Best thing to do would be to call hmrc and ask them what this is all about. Sometimes then might send this letter by mistake, sometimes they might be after something. Best thing to do is to find out what exactly going on.
