I enjoyed reading it (stayed up late a couple of times
). The characters are quite believable, and the story is a nice, modern day fairytale... Though I have to say it is a bit of a stretch...
I'm a committed Christian, and I am married to one (we are both ministers...) and I can say, with total certainty, that regardless of how I felt about someone, if they didn't share in the one vital thing that colours my worldview, I would NOT consider entering a relationship with them, nevermind marriage... Actually, I can say that I would not think of cultivating feelings for someone who didn't share my worldview, as well as the depth of commitment I have (which may explain why I was well into my 30s when I met and married DH
)... Call me picky, but that would be asking for trouble later on in the relationship.
As is, we both know where we are coming from, and why we need to do some things and not others. We have some interesting theological debates, as we see things a bit differently (him being a scientist, as well as a theologian, and me being much more of a people/relationship person), but in the essential, we agree.
Having said that, I rooted for the two main characters to get together, and quite enjoyed the escapism...
