Hi

I have got myself lots of pockets but havent got anything to stuff them with. I have lots of prefolds and terry nappies, for normal daytime use do I just need one terry nappy folded to stuff it?

Also can someone please tell me if inserts are the same as the booster pads you can get please? How many inserts do I need in one pocket for normal daytime use?

Sorry for questions but first time with pockets.

Thank s

With pockets it just takes some time to work out what works for you in the way of stuffing!

Boosters are generally associated with fitted nappies for extra absorbency, whereas inserts a specifically designed for pockets as the main absorbency, that doesn't mean you can't use a booster in a pocket though, I would highly reccomend the easy peasy hemp boosters for extra absorbency in a pocket!

I like to use a combo of bamboo and hemp in my pockets, as the bamboo absorbs quickly and is nice and slim, and the hemp is lovely and slim and wicks moisture away from the bamboo, and draws it into the back of the nappy!

You will probably need something with the hemp though, as hemp is slow to absorb (but very good). Bamboo is fab but you could also use anything else really - cotton, microfiber etc. If you ave a fairly heavy wetter though I would say bamboo and hemp like Hanna says. Thats the best combo we have found anyway.

I get on quite well with a prefold & some hemp behind it in my pockets (if I don't have inserts for them).

You will need something infront of the hemp as it is slow to absorb, although holds a lot for it's size.

Boosters are generally used to boost fitteds but you can use them in pockets but usually inbetween your normal stuffing to boost the wet zone.
