Slinki Minki Advice Needed

Postby Bobble Boy's Mum » Thu Jun 04, 2009 11:39 am

I was wondering if anyone who has used Slinky Minkis (particularly the newborn size) could let me know what the absorbancy/poo containment of them is like. Has anyone used them on long babies with skinny legs and waist? What inserts work best in Minkis?

Thanks

I use one at night; containment is good. It would be very bulky for day use though. You'll need rectangular inserts as it's a very 'boxy' shape so hourglass inserts don't fit well.

I have only used large ones on Ben for the last few months. We find them great, although he is short and chubby! They are pretty adjustable so imagine they would be fine with skinnier babies. We stuff them with a p'tit dessous bamboo insert folded over two easy peasy hemp boosters and this is more than enough for Ben for 12 hours :D

Hi, bit late to this one, sorry!

I use a medium Slinki Minki on my very petite DD, and I too only use it at night as it would be ridiculously bulky on her unfortunately for daytime. Poor thing can hardly waddle in it! But I just stuff it with a terry square, sometimes plus a microfibre cloth too, and it's fine at night. We've never had poo leakage, and only a couple of times has wee leaked (always when I've rushed and not fitted the nappy quite right, I think).
