daft question

Postby diz » Sun Jun 14, 2009 4:17 pm

Probably seems like a really dim - whitted question to all you long standing reusable users.....so advance oppologies.

Does a pocket nappy require a wrap?

or .....

do some or most pockets have a waterproof outer....... if so what is the difference between a pocket and an AIO appart from the pocket?

Do any AIO have pockets or are they then reffered to as pockets.

:hohoho: :hohoho: told you it was gunna be a daft question!!!!!

A pocket nappy has a waterproof outer and doesn't require a wrap.

However you can also get 'pocket fitteds' (swaddlebees do them for example) - these have a pocket to allow you to customise the absorbency of the nappy but don't have a waterproof outer -and so require a wrap.

AIOs have all the parts attached - waterproof outer, absorbent material in the middle, liner. Therefore you don't need to assemble them or stuff them as you would a pocket nappy. As all the parts are attached they take longer to dry than a pocket nappy.
However, to confuse you more, some AIOs have a pocket too, to allow you to add more stuffing for extra absorbency if you have a heavy wetter.

HTH a little, difficult to explain easily without showing you the nappies IRL! And not a daft question at all :)

WSS, theres no point me telling you again what Joanne said, you can also get AI2s too though so all in 2 parts, then they normally snap together
