What did I do wrong with the stuffing?

Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in night nappy section but decided here as it's a stuffing question.

Last night I stuffed Findlay's Huggle with a blueberry mf/hemp combo insert (first time I've tried this insert in his huggle) and put his woolies and sleeping bag over the top. This morning the front and centre of his nappy felt soaked but the back felt dry and on taking the insert out it was the same, soaked at the front and dry at the back :-?

Did I do something wrong? Usually with his fluffle the combo insert ends up equally wet all over so I'm really confused!

Don't think you did anything wrong it's just the way the different fabric works I guess...

Grace's nappies (and often Isabelle's too) are drenched to squishing point at the front&centre, but dry at the back...
They're almost always in bamboo/hemp and wool

I used one of those inserts for the first time lastnight in a bamboo LL along with an ep hemp. Gracie's nappies are always wet at the front and down to her crotch but dry at the back, it's just the way they wee. You could always but a bit more stuffing into it if you wanted. x

I agree, I think it's just that the hemp absorbs more than the microfibre Fluffle insert (never rated microfiber although it was billed as some sort of wonder-absorber!), so the liquid doesn't wick straight to the back of the insert. It will get there eventually if he wets enough though :giggle:!
