nappies too small but too big between the legs- help!

Just realised what has been giving my daughter a very strange look to her nappies. :giggle:

It seems that although her BBOS and BGV3 are seemingly getting smaller and smaller on the largest setting, the bulge between her legs is getting wider and wider! :giggle:

I stuff them either with the BB hemp/microfibre insert and a small bamboo one from the old style totsbots bamboo nappies or typically with the microfibre EP hemp- I wouldn't say I go over the top.

My question would be, is it the width of the inserts I need to be changing, such as moving to a bamboo and a hemp hourglass or is it the width of the nappy between her legs? And if so, which nappies are narrower between the legs but decent on the rise?

This looked like it was happening with ds, I think when he peed he flooded the nappy and the weight of the pee makes it hang down in the middle? Not sure if this is what is happening to you too?
Swaddlebees nappies are thin on the crotch and higher on the rise, we seem to get a better fit with two parters now rather than pockets. They're cheapish second hand too.

Oh, I see what you mean... This is when they are dry really. The inserts fold and form a point, seemingly like a man's private area! :giggle:

I was a little embarassed for her the other day when she has a slightly more snug pair of tracksuit bottoms on... it stuck out a mile and look awful... in the middle of rhyme time

Would you recommend any swaddlebees in particular or are they all similar?

Oh I get what you mean. When ds started outpeeing the bb insert I started adding extra inserts ontop but dh complained about the nappies hanging down and looking too bulky.
I've swopped to a hemp insert (I cut them myself to size so no brand) with a bamboo insert (or two if they're the thin little lamb ones) on top and thats less bulky and seems more effective and doesn't weigh down the nappy in the same way.

I've got quite a few not posh btp fitted (two part ) nappies and the swaddlebees are definitely the slimmest fit crotch wise. I haven't tried some of the more expensive wahm nappies and things that other people use on this board.

I should say the blueberries I use are the large side snap pockets and i think the insert is slightly different from the one size bb insert. I'm not sure if the one size one is bigger or not.
