Inserts for a WNOS on 6 week old - help!

Postby zoeyboo » Sun Mar 14, 2010 6:45 pm

Hi all,
We have lots of gorgeous WNOS waiting to be used ... they have started fitting Rufus now but with the BBOS inserts that I have for them they are just too huge and bulky ... suggestions for an alternative gratefully recieved!

I struggled using my wnos when Aoife was still so little...it wasn't til she was on the middle rise poppers like now that I have managed to find inserts to fit in there nicely enough without bulking the nappy out too much to be able to do up comfortably...sorry that is probably not much help but how bout trying an EP Hemp, a bamboost & some layers of terry inserts???

if i remember rightly :-?
I used 60 cm bamboo terries chopped in half they were perfect, we have turned ours into other nappies now tho! :(
ideally you need something that is 30 cm long and 25 cm wide folded in half and put in? I don't have any bamboo terry or I would make you some :(
have you tried puddlekins as a custom make,

We have a load of random inserts and boosters ... will have a look and see what will fit, if not puddlekins here we come!

Did you find you needed a microfibre for fast 'sucking up' and a hemp or bamboo for containment?
Did you prewash the pocket or are they fine to use straight off?

Thank-you

I'm fairly sure I used Bumgenius newborn inserts in them.

I was going to suggest the same as Vic. BG newborn insert and if you need a bit more absorbancy then a small booster like a littlelambs..

Ooo we don't have any of those, can they be bought seperately from the BG's and are they cheap?

You can get them here http://www.lizziesrealnappies.co.uk/ind ... ealnappies

Another small booster like little lambs size 1 or a GK booster would fit nicely underneath if he's a heavy wetter & EP hemp are the same size as the bg inserts

You can often find them, or similar in Classifieds - e.g. reckon these would do the job: http://www.clothnappytree.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=40759
