It might make it last a bit longer before they wick but unfortunately some people just have that problem with cotton outers no matter what they try. I had some cotton outer Issy Bear pockets and I had the same problem, I found that changing more often did help but in the end it was too much of a nuisance so I sold them on.

Now that they have been washed a few more times I'm getting 2-2.5 hours out of them before they start wicking so I'm happy enough with that. I change every 3 hours anyway so they are fine if we're just at home. I have the BTP ones with the PUL outer and find them great. The fleece sticks out on them too but causes no problems so its just the cotton outer that causes the problem.
