Handmade Christmas

Postby littlesez » Wed Nov 09, 2016 6:03 am

OK so I have no money at all, which is fine. Kids aren't bothered bout presents and their wider family will do the whole sackfulls of toys ect.

The plan so far.....

Elf fest to include Christmas crafting for Decembe 1st onwards
Christmas eve santa hunt
Christmas eve-box with handmade PJ's and stuff
Put kids in my bed then decorate their rooms.

Ok so I need ideas for stuff could I make for them to open on Christmas morning ? ideas for December crafts , handmade decorations, stuff for their rooms.

I ve been pinning things in Pinterest to make for the kids... I ll never do them all as I run out of time!

But some ideas from my list are:
a knitted pj case thingy in the shape of a monster ( sounds silly but looks cute)
A hair clip/ headband holder out of felt and ribbon
Hat/ mittens set
A 0's and X's game with painted pebbles and home made board.
Or a set of people's and all of the things needed to make their own or just paint a pebble family ( might need to buy paint though :( ).
I've seen some tutorials for home made pretend play plasters for a doctors set - I love the look of those!
The other one on my list is a fleece sleeping bag for the kids' teddy. The tutorial I found was so easy and then it rolls up so the teddy can carry it on its back :)
A fabric pin board thing for them to put family photos and keepsakes up in their room?

All depends on what crafty material you have in? I m a hoarder and have loads of odd bits of stuff here and there :giggle:

I will grab some links from my Pinterest board when I am on the laptop. There's loads of things to make from recycling rubbish! A bottle Santa, snowman from egg carton, reindeer from toilet roll are 3 I remember.
