Red poop?

Postby gilbertandmartha » Sun Mar 10, 2013 5:59 pm

Hmmm not sure if I should be worried, but for the last week Lola has been doing red poops. Red enough to stain her nappies. It doesn't look like blood, but it does look like rusty blood if that makes sense. Other than that she's happy and not fussing. She is on anti-biotics, and has cut her top teeth. Just seems a bit odd.

Has she been eating anything with a red colour to it?

Always worth a dr check if you are unsure.

I once scared myself after eating beetroot salad - my wee was red the next day!!

THe only thing red was some chilli with red kidney beans about a week and half ago, and her poop has been consistently rusty since then. I'm not mega worried because she is ok in herself, its just odd that its been at the same time as the anti-b's.

Id bet its food related too. Maybe give it a couple of days and see uf utility goes, test again when it does with more kidney beans!

Evie gets this if she's had tomatoes or red peppers. I figure its just then food and their immature guts. Hth
