BBC NEWS 24 CLOTH NAPPY REPORT VIDEO
So whats everyones feedback on the article? I thought Katherine came across really well, put all her points forward clearly and in an easy to understand manner that wasn't 'fanatical'. I thought she looked smart and intelligent (which we all obviously are!!) but thought that was great as there seems to be a sterotype of long haired, flowy skirt, hairy legged hippies using cloth nappies (no offence to them by the way used to look a bit like that myself!!!).
I thought it was good that she didn't try to bring up too many points, just stuck to a few important ones. Glad she used a bright fun nappy too. Just had a look on the teamlollipop website and there is a pic of a nappy that looks the same so I'd say its that one!
Really good all round!!! I really hope we can see more and more cloth on the tv as time goes by.

I was really impressed with the report but I just felt they cut it a bit short on the environmental bit - Katherine started to state how we have alot more control over the environmental impact of our nappies but didn't get a chance to go on to say how - like not boiling or ironing or using little detergent.
Overall though I thought it was great publicity for cloth and did at least show an interesting, colourful, easy to use nappy which alot of people may not have seen before.
Let's hope we start to see alot more like this.

You are right, it is a Lollipop pocket nappy. I was given five of them by my sister-in-law, who used to be a Lollipop agent. I thought I should put her in her brightest, cutest nappy for the TV.
Annette - you are absolutely right. My next sentence was about washing on low temps, minimal detergent, full loads etc. but it was cut.
I really liked how they included the footage of the landfill at the start but I was disappointed with the high price tag they put on the washable nappies. I broke the cost down into washing costs and nappies and of course talked about reuse and resale but this wasn't included in the report.
It's amazing how long they spent filming for such a short piece. They were at my house for over two hours.
I'm glad that overall people think it was good for cloth promotion. Now we just need to work at trying to get cloth onto the mainstream channels.
