Washing cloth nappies

Washing cloth nappies couldn’t be easier! There’s no need to soak or boil wash them. Simply tip any solids into the loo and dry pail your nappies until you’re ready to wash.

Run a cold rinse without any detergent, to dilute the urine and stop smells setting.

Next do either a 40c or 60c wash with half the normal amount of detergent (don’t use fabric softener, which decreases the absorbency of nappies).

You can even use a nappy mesh bag to line your nappy bucket, meaning that you minimise the amount you have to handle dirty nappies.
