I am so relieved to be home and cosy. I had a bad night last night and had to be up at 6:45am to get ready for work in Staffordshire. As it turned out there was a mix-up and the job was cancelled, so I was able to peel off the layers and layers of clothes I'd donned in preparation for a long cold morning/afternoon outside looking for signs of bats, birds etc. I got a lift back from my boss/colleague as dh had dropped me off before going to work. I am sooo sleepy, and will go for a lie down at some point. I also have loads of washing I could get on with- I want to wash all those tiny baby clothes, too :D
I think the baby is rather unused to my being up and active this early in the day as he's really moving around in there :hohoho: MInd you, he was active every time I woke up in the night, too. I love it when he is this active, and love that the movements are getting stronger.

I must post off some letters and cards etc. today, too. It's a beautiful, sunny, snowy day. The birds are shuffling around in the snow up to their bellies and trying to get at the food I put out last night. Just as well the lazy cat is curled up on our bed.

I am contemplating asking whether there are any appointments left for an antenatal visit this Thursday instead of next, since if there aren't any at the right time slot next Thursday, I'll have to wait at least another week, which will make me nearly 27 weeks instead of nearly 26. However, one reason for hanging on would be that my own midwife can't be there next week  . I am not looking forward to seeing her at all. One visit and 2 phone calls are quite enough for me. She's probably not that bad, but I don't trust her or particularly like her. The younger midwives in my team might be nicer. Mmmmm. Not sure what to do. :?
