I am so relieved to be home and cosy. I had a bad night last night and had to be up at 6:45am to get ready for work in Staffordshire. As it turned out there was a mix-up and the job was cancelled, so I was able to peel off the layers and layers of clothes I'd donned in preparation for a long cold morning/afternoon outside looking for signs of bats, birds etc. I got a lift back from my boss/colleague as dh had dropped me off before going to work. He's baaaack!

OK so OH has been home for a whole week now so this isn't really news but I just wanted to write down a bit.
It has all been ok, much better than I expected actually, we have had a few minor niggles but nothing like what I thought it was going to be. He has been quite good at clearing up after himself and only had one day of being a miserable grump so it looks like he picked up his personality at the door :giggle: ...

Pizza Base

4 super thin pizza bases

2 packets yeast (for 500g)
1 teaspoon sugar
1.25 cups of water
1 tablespoon oil
3 cups all-purpose flour
salt to taste

3 cups is about 400g of flour. Work out yeast according to what it says on the packet. In this case it's about two packets.

Mix yeast and warm water in a bowl (40-45 Centigrade)
Add oil and flour and mix till it forms a dough ball.
Nead for about 5 mins
Cover bowl with a kitchen towel, place next to heater while the oven is warming...

EC is an ancient form of baby hygiene care that pre-dates disposable and even cloth nappies! In our modern world, combining real cloth nappies with baby pottying is the way to go - it's fun, very environmentally friendly and great for the budget too!
