On April 12th 2006 we woke up excited, today Jack was 6 months old and starting weaning. I was planning on giving baby rice but I was a poor expresser due to a rubbish manual pump I now know so had no milk to mix it with. I decided to nip out and get him some rusks as these could be mixed with water into mush for him.

So this time it's me. Today I went to see the doctor about being tested for Huntington's disease, which runs in my family. I actually came away feeling much better about it, not for myself, I can live with that, for me not knowing is worse than anything else. For the fact that apparently while it is unlikely there is anything that can be done if I have it, it is quite likely that, should Austin get the disease, there will be some sort of treatment. Found out on Sunday that my big sister is pregnant too. Quite excited for her. She is not sure of her dates but thinks she is due august/sept time. By my calculations I am due Sept 1st so very close. Unfortunately her husband is in the army and is of to Afghanistan for 6 months at the end of March. She is more than likely going to be birthing without him. Very scary for her I can imagine as this is her first DC. I was single when I had my first DS and so I can understand how she must...

OK so today wasn't too bad, felt a bit rubbish this morning and could quite happily have gone back to sleep when Austin got up at 6.20 but I got up and got on with the day. Nausea coming and going, the heat hasn't helped and I have had to eat something about every 2 hours but I am trying to get meals in with snack between and it seems to have worked a bit better.
