So OH has had his line for his chemo put in today, he has had to have a dual line so they can give him blood and platelets while he is having his chemo. It all feels a bit dreamy at the moment, I've had moments where I have had to stop and question if this is really all happening but I'm guessing it must be as OH hasn't come home yet. We have been told his immune system is no longer working so he may not be allowed home at the weekend but so far the plan is he will come home on Saturday (after blood...

So this time it's me. Today I went to see the doctor about being tested for Huntington's disease, which runs in my family. I actually came away feeling much better about it, not for myself, I can live with that, for me not knowing is worse than anything else. For the fact that apparently while it is unlikely there is anything that can be done if I have it, it is quite likely that, should Austin get the disease, there will be some sort of treatment. Well OH has been and deposited his "specimen" today so we now still have that glimmer of hope of another baby some time in the future. The only worry now is that I just keep thinking what if it all goes wrong and it doesn't freeze properly or it can't be used. Usually people are asked to give 2 or 3 samples over the same amount of weeks to give better chances but we have just the one lonely pot in a freezer somewhere with our name on it. Well, we've tweaked the stash again! and streamlined the nappies to just those that really suit us. The pockets are out the window and we are sticking firmly to AIOs and SIOs.

It still amazes me how different people react to the same nappy. A couple of the pockets I ordered were tried and tested nappies that many people rated very highly, yet I just didn't see the appeal. And then some people tried some of the nappies I can always rely on, only to find they leaked...

I have say I didn't believe that the sun would get the stains out of my beautiful nappies. So I conducted a very scientific experiment when I peg them on the line ones with stains I used 3 pegs. When I asked dh to go fetch the washing in he asked why I had used 3 pegs on some nappies as they all looked spotless to him. Clearly the sun bleaching is magic.
