Rant-free...if possible

So I still have no water downstairs. Which is making feeding and clothing three kids, one in cloth nappies, somewhat challenging. Toxic chemical didn't work, next step is rodding the standpipe, but as it is full of acid, I need to wait for hubbie to come hold the babbas...

So, while i wait and can't clean or cook, i'm stuck with chilling and knitting. Sad but true :giggle:

Let the journey begin!

Yesterday I pre-washed my first 6 cloth nappies, they are on the airer right now (it is really cold here these days so they did not get dry overnight), and tomorrow our cloth nappy adventure begins :yahoo:

But our story started more than 10 years ago when I heard a program on the radio about disposable nappies. I don't remember what they said in that program but I remember very well that I was shocked....

Well, I have took the plunge and decided to be a SAHM :wine: Despite the "state" of the economy, I have given up my 22hr job to be a better wife and mammy :) there are many fantastic mammies out there who have a career and are a wonderful family woman too, but right now I just cant manage it. Well my stash is growing well again having thinned it out and parted with our Ittis and our beloved size one Bamboozles which I had used on Anna too. I received a couple of preloved AI2 Wee Notions today - just divine and some more Real Easies. I have also ordered (bad bad bad woman :giggle: ) 2 night nappies from Wee Notions if they're good, then I'll have to get some more I'm thinking!

Nappies!

We are fast approaching Meredith's first birthday (where did the time go?) and have decided to venture out of the comfort zone of TB Fluffles and wraps. Don't get me wrong, I love them, and they have served as well over the last 8 months, but the time has come to diversify. I guess there are three reasons.
