Still nothing to go on

Well the doctors are still not giving us OH's cancer levels. It's getting to be some kind of round-a-bout game. I ask someone who has to ask someone else which takes so long that I've left the hospital and no-one is telling OH much either. We DO know that his white blood cell count has now hit 0 which is a good and bad thing: good because the only way it can go now is up which means he should be able to come home soon, bad because it means he has no immune system and so is likely to have had every...

My return to the saddle!!

I am going to start up horse riding again....i was a pony mad youngster and beyond and even worked with them upon leaving school, unfortunately i got a really bad back so that put paid to my ambitions. :cry: :cry:

Since Emma as been taking lessons at a local riding school i have wanted to get back...

Enabling Hibernation in Ubuntu 12.04 on a Lenovo T400

In the hope that this helps someone out there do something that took way too much of my time and so that I don't forget:

1) First off make sure your swap partition is bigger than your RAM otherwise you wont have enough space to save the contents of your memory. Use gparted or whatever takes your fancy. Plenty of help on the net for this so I won't go into it.

2) Hibernation was removed from Ubuntu so you need to get it back into you shutdown menu again:
Open:

sudo nano /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/com.ubuntu.enable-hibernate.pkla

Testing nappy.

Lollipop are launching a new nappy it's a cross between there current softee and there micro. I was the tester. I tried size 1 on my son. It was a lovely soft minkee nappy with a seperate booster. I also tried the lollipop wrap provided. (also velsro) very soft and snuggly and not as bulky as the older lollipop nappies. TRied during the day and the night and one very satisfied customer. They are launching it in Red, Orange, Blue, White and green (I think.) Will be putting it onmy website. Size one...
