After visiting my local cloth nappy library the other day I came away with a few different brands of nappy to try. 3 days in and I'm really enjoying the experience so far, it really isn't harder than using disposables I find and the pros definitely outweigh any cons (not that I've found any in particular yet)

The brands I'm trying at the moment are:
Gnappies
Close pop-ins
Motherease one size & sandys
Tots bots bamboozle

So far I like them all! Now I just have to try and build a stash before...

Finally I am beginning to really believe that there is a light socket at the end of the tunnel and if I keep going someone might just fit a lightbulb...

Well, since I last blogged a long long time ago we have had lots of ups and downs with ds's sleep. As time has gone on, people have been more and more surprised that ds still didn't sleep well (the paranoid part of me says more and more disbelieving) and surprised I was still feeding him, especially at night (a big part of survival, so far as I was concerned). Like my previous baby. Julian Stephen was born 5 weaks early. In Scbu he used Dispicables, but now I am trying different ones. The trouble is my all in one nappies don't really go smaller enough. They all seem so bulky, so what do I use? Good old terry squares. I also have an old style size 1 Fuzzi bunze which for some reason is smaller then the new style. (Which is too big for him.). My mum thinks I have lots of cloth nappies, So think I have enough for now.

So I thought it was about time I got back on this and gave a bit of an update. We got back off holiday last Friday and life has been almost back to normal. We had a lovely time in Northumberland, the weather was nice and we spent pretty much every day on the beach. Austin loved playing on the beach and paddling in the sea and having all the fresh air and sand and other children around him to play with (which just makes me more sad that we will have to wait so long for baby number 2).
