Why oh why am I still awake?

by frankie_n_baby on Sun Jan 25, 2009 11:14 pm
I thought I was getting the hang of cloth nappy talk now, until I started browsing the classifieds! Hard to know what all the abbreviations mean, and the paypal talk (gifted? funded?). However, I will persevere. I still have some nappies to buy. Contemplating the 5 pack of MEOS and wraps, and deffo getting a bum genius or two, but not sure whether I should get the MEOS, and whether...

Nappies!

by fivefourfour on Sat Oct 10, 2009 4:22 pm
We are fast approaching Meredith's first birthday (where did the time go?) and have decided to venture out of the comfort zone of TB Fluffles and wraps. Don't get me wrong, I love them, and they have served as well over the last 8 months, but the time has come to diversify. I guess there are three reasons.

:D The first is that Meredith drinks lots of water, especially with her...

Nappy library and the start of my cloth journey

by Kaekae on Sun Feb 15, 2015 1:34 am
After visiting my local cloth nappy library the other day I came away with a few different brands of nappy to try. 3 days in and I'm really enjoying the experience so far, it really isn't harder than using disposables I find and the pros definitely outweigh any cons (not that I've found any in particular yet)

The brands I'm trying at the moment are:
Gnappies
Close pop-ins
Motherease one size & sandys
Tots bots bamboozle

So far I like them all! Now I just have to try and build a stash before...

by Bernadette on Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:40 pm
Well after Fin complaining that I have only been sewing for Patrick, I have made him a little pair of shorts in Dino Dude print made from the Tye Die Diva pattern. I hope he likes them, just need to measure the elastic around the waist and then they will be finished.

Patrick has another pair of shortall's made which I put buttons on legs instead of snaps...

Leaky dips

by june2007 on Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:49 am
I spent xmas round my inlaws and then my parents away from home. I decided to use disps for when I was away as I did not want to produce my mother with having to wash the clothies. Mmm so much for saving on washing, the disps leaked so much that I had to wash the baby grows as I would have run out otherwise. My mum had a different brand to me thinking they leaked less, I wasn't so sure. So if anyone asks if cloth nappies leak, in my experience less then disposables do.
