A quick run up to right now.

Bren was diagnosed with Kidney failure just before his 21st birthday - 2000

We met the next year, we were only together for 3 months when he got sick and was admitted to hospital. It was through a routine scan that they found a Renal cell carcinoma (cancer of the kidney) his right kidney was removed October 2001 and thankfully he was contained and hadn't spread.

Because of his Renal failure and one kidney having been removed his body couldn't cope his condition advanced...

After not seeming at all interested in eating yesterday today Kacie was very interested. I made cheesy beans and potato wedges for me and put 2 wedges on Kacie's plate. She seemed to know these for her and got excited at the plate when I put it on the table. She watched me while I ate mine, wating for hers to cool. Then she grabbed one straight out of my hand and nommed on it :widesmile:

I finally managed to claim my entitlement to maternity allowance. Took appealing numerous times and the idea of a tribunal before the MA office overturned their desicion. My DS is 2 1/2 but is young for his age. He shows an interest in the potty and will do a wee and sometimes a poo on the potty. Sometimes he will go to it on his own. Sometimes he will tell me he needs changing. However none of this is consistent or reliable. So I am keeping him in nappies and offering the potty at each change. Should I wait a bit longer for him to become more aware or be more proactive? My DD was being toilet trained at this age and was more or less dry during the day? But every...

So OH has had his line for his chemo put in today, he has had to have a dual line so they can give him blood and platelets while he is having his chemo. It all feels a bit dreamy at the moment, I've had moments where I have had to stop and question if this is really all happening but I'm guessing it must be as OH hasn't come home yet. We have been told his immune system is no longer working so he may not be allowed home at the weekend but so far the plan is he will come home on Saturday (after blood...
