I finally managed to claim my entitlement to maternity allowance. Took appealing numerous times and the idea of a tribunal before the MA office overturned their desicion. Well worth a look if you think you have been wrongly denied MA after a stillbirth at 24weeks, actually if you think you have been wrongly denied for any reason it is worth appealing as they might not be so quick to say no once they have to prove they are legally correct at a tribunal.

More good news is that I have just found out that I am pregnant again. It is truly terrifying and I am in complete denial about it but there are 2 little pink lines on the test every time I look at them so no getting away from it really. I found out just before Christmas, on the 22nd Dec. No symptoms so far except for being incredibly thirsty and so getting horrible salty taste on my lips. Once again I will keep this blog as kind of a journal of my journey through the pregnancy. There was no cause discovered for the last pregnancy ending in stillbirth so there were high hopes that any future ones should be perfectly normal. However I will require closer monitoring and have to travel to the nearest city for scans as they have more advanced technology than my local hospital. Really hoping that I am not in for a stressful and worrying time this time around and that at the end of it I get to come home with a real, live baby in my arms. 2011 was such a crap year in so many ways for us that I have high hopes for 2012 bringing us a bit more happiness.
