Which folds for small terries?

With Izzy i had large terries from newborn which i used the jo fold. Perfect but you can't really do a jo fold on small terries as the whole nappy then ends up being really small. I tried just folding it in half to make a trriangle but can't get the hang of it

Any suggestions? TIA

Its been 4 years since I had a tiny in terries but as far as I remember I used the kite fold but I don't remember using them for very long as I preferred the larger ones as they where easier to fold (I used the jo fold and as he got bigger I used to put a hemp booster in between the folds to make it last longer). I could never get the hang of the triangle fold they where always baggy at the legs but my Mum could do it really well and get a good fit

kite fold for us too! Although it's a bit of a mess when there's poo.

I was wondering about this... I was recommending to someone to bulk up a newborn stash with terries. I used standard size on dd2 which were quite bulky but very absorbent. I wondered whether to recommend the 40x40 or 50x 50 instead but wasn t sure how they would fold. I used to do the Chinese/ bat fold. Does that work on a smaller one? Xxxx

I used prefolds, in newborn fold first nippered and then in a folded down pad fold.

Kite fold seems OK but I think i have lost the love for terries I just can't be bothered with them such a shame as ones i have made are really pretty
