I've got a birth to potty set of Bambino Mio's which i'm really struggling with :-? My nappy advisor said they were great value for money, but I'm spending more because i have to keep buying disposables! OK the problem I have with them is the wraps rub on my dd2 making her legs very sore so tried using motherease wraps but with the BM nappy it makes them sag and rub too...really don't know what to do with them!!! I'm thinking of selling them but have no idea what price i would get? does anyone have any idea the going price? ideally i could do with making enough so that i could buy about 6 all in ones can't really afford them otherwise, this wrap system doesn't work for us! oh and i have one life nappies which are fab but again the wraps irritate her :x Does anyone have any advice? Thank you x x x

My advice is stop using BM :hohoho: Sorry, I HATE them. We gave up cloth with Dawnie because of them. I didn't know about the fabulous world of CNT back then.
Have you tried wool at all? How old is bubs? You can also nippa prefolds, so you can just stop using the wraps and still use the prfolds with wool over them :)

Prefolds aren't for everyone. Personally, I love them but I know a lot of people don't get on with them at all. If you're going to use prefolds, then a good wrap is essential. The Bambino wraps are, quite frankly, rubbish. A friend loaned a few to me and I hated them - the leak, rub and are generally poor value for money. Motherease wraps are primarily designed to go over a fitted nappy so I'm not surprised they're sagging with the prefolds. We've had great success using either Weehuggers Wraps, Thirsties Duos or Flip covers with our prefolds. Weehuggers and Thirsties Duos are better at dealing with runny poo than the Flips, but I've found Flips fab once LO is on solids. You may well be able to pick up some of these wraps preloved on the classifieds so you can try them out without spending huge amounts of cash.

If your DD reacts to Wehuggers, Thirsties or Flips, it may be that she has a sensitivity to either PUL or elastic binding, in which case, you might be better off giving fitteds with wool or fleece covers a try. Good luck!

Lo is 16 months and I've just bought some longies and woolen pants, they're fab with my onelife but don't support the BM. I'd never considered a nippa, might be a silly question but how do you use a nippa with them? bulk of my stash is the BM and afer having a look on ebay, i don't fancy my chances in shifting them :( I can't really spend anymore on wraps but I'll keep my eye on the classified here for a bargain! Although I am wondering if its something in the PUL :/

Some wraps rub on my 2 year old but others are fine so it may be the fit of the wraps.

I'll have a quick look for some folding tutorials and be right back hun. The wools won't support the prefolds when you fold them like the BM instructions say. But there's lots of others.
brb! *zooooom* :giggle:

Hiya  I d second the thirsties duo wrap recomendation too but as you said it could be the material of the wraps that are irritating her.
I had the Bambino Mio btp set with dd1 and used to find the Velcro scratched her tummy and they leaked a wicked. I still use the prefolds now on dd2 but with the thirsties duo.
I have been finding the last few weeks that she's been getting annoyed with the bulk of them though. She s a similar age to your LO. We have pockets aswell and she seems much happier in those. This thread just reminded me about nippa ing. I might revisit the bikikni fold but and see how i get on.

Are the wraps rubbing between the legs where the bulk is? I usually put the nappy and wrap on and then put my fingers inside the nappy on either side of the crotch IYSWIM and push the middle bit of the nappy towards me making the nappy more narrow between the legs. Does that make sense? I use the boy fold in a wrap so most of the bulk is at the front anyway. I ve also Bern trying the smaller bm prefold with a booster at the front as that is where my dd2 weed most that reduces the bulk between the legs and at the back.

Good luck xxxx
