Besides the autumn challenge where you can try something new I thought there should be monthly ones again as well.

And, as i know a few of us have started, I decided we should make a scarf.
You can use any technique you want; knitting, crochet, sewing, felting, etc.
Just make a scarf for yourself or one of the kids or the hubby.

I'm knitting mine, and thinking of adding crochet flowers as well but not sure about that yet.

Here's a progress pic:

Maybe this should be my kick up the bum to get mine finished! Is that a FASC shawl Esther? I'll see how I go but my brain isn't coping with the complexities of knitting so I fear it may get left until after exams in November when hopefully I'll have a bit more brain space!

What's a FASC shawl??

It's finished, waiting for more light to make a pic and I made up my own pattern.

Awww lovely! You got it done quickly too - I take forever to knit :knit: :giggle: Did you say you'd only just started knitting or was that just crochet?

Well it took about 5 days to finish this ;)

I learned knitting when I was a kid from my granny but it was just simple stuff you know the basics.
After that I didn't knit for many years till now and this was the first time I did knit more stitches on the way and doing the ruffle and knit on circulars etc.

I love the shawl Esther  I was just thinking yesterday that it would be lovely to have a shawl for nighttime :bf: as it is already rather chilly at night. It would be nice to crochet something for myself for once, rather than just for the kids. I'd better get busy and finish my current projects :crochet: :whip:
