Apologies for the upcoming onslaught of pictures, but I am soooooo happy with my Onbag!

The materials came to about £5 or £6, but it did take me 3 days, and I still need to find the right button for the front flap. The orange (an old curtain) and the denim go together a lot better in real life, or so I like to think :giggle: Lots I'd do differently next time, but generally I completely adore it :wine:

Love the bags ladies! :D

I have been busy - just not been posting pics!! So this may be a pic heavy I'm afraid

So I started off making what looked like a simple bag, had to make a 'thank you' for my neightbour so using the monthly challenge meant I had motivation to finish it. The plan was then to do one eaxh with the kids in their own fabric they have for bits and pieces in their bedrooms. 2 done, one started and DD1 is using the same pattern but completing it herself. She is doing the patchwork whereas we omitted it to save time :)

Now got fabric for my proper bag - can't guarantee it will be done by end of August as WIP list fetting longer and more needy!

And finished the last kiddy bag, well WE finished it! All the kids helped me do them by sitting on my lap pinning the fabric, pressing the reverse sewing button, feeding the fabric, cutting the threads etc.
And Bekah did a grand job :)

Well, I tried my best but my machine has got the better of me. This is what happens when I leave things until the last minute. I'm going to have to admit that the 43-year-old (yep, no typo!) Singer might be ready for for retirement. It's been in a fickle mood for a while, but I've always managed to coax it back into life. Not today, though. :( But, hey, I get to buy a new machine! Maybe even one that has more than two stitch choices (straight and, indeed, zig zag - I was so spoilt!).

So hopefully this will be finished this weekend. But here are pics to date. All I have to do is the strap, everything else is done (oh, and take the basting out of the top!). It's a hobo bag. The outer is a handprinted fabric I bought locally, and I love it. :) First time at doing either a zip or a pocket, so I'm quite proud of myself (although the zip's not great! :giggle: ).

All materials assembled and ready to begin:

Well my hobo bag is cut out but no sewn yet as i've been sidetracked by making gift bags for my daughters birthday and a little camera bag too. I'm hoping to get the hobo bag done this week sometime.
