Well, I tried my best but my machine has got the better of me. This is what happens when I leave things until the last minute. I'm going to have to admit that the 43-year-old (yep, no typo!) Singer might be ready for for retirement. It's been in a fickle mood for a while, but I've always managed to coax it back into life. Not today, though.
But, hey, I get to buy a new machine! Maybe even one that has more than two stitch choices (straight and, indeed, zig zag - I was so spoilt!).
So hopefully this will be finished this weekend. But here are pics to date. All I have to do is the strap, everything else is done (oh, and take the basting out of the top!). It's a hobo bag. The outer is a handprinted fabric I bought locally, and I love it.
First time at doing either a zip or a pocket, so I'm quite proud of myself (although the zip's not great!
